Welcome to the February edition of the Learning Library newsletter!
This month there are two special new resources for you – but one is only sticking around for a week, so keep reading to find out what it is and where you can find it!
From me you can access:
SPECIAL GIFT UNTIL MARCH 2 ONLY! Webinar – Standardised Cognitive Assessments: To celebrate the launch of a new allied health community, Path Connect, I’ve got a special gift for you! This week I’m providing a free webinar for Path Connect members on Choosing and Using Standardised Assessments, so I decided to offer a bonus freebie for my Learning Library members.
In this webinar I run through 7 common standardised cognitive screening tools, and explain how to prep, what they can tell us, and how to document the results clearly. There are some free downloads and case studies to test yourself to help you absorb the info as you watch.
If you’re already a Learning Library member, you’ll find this in the ‘Special Features’ section, but only until the 2nd of March, 2026.
If you’re not already a member, sign-up for FREE here: https://yott.au/learninglibrary
If you’re reading this after the 2nd of March, you can access it by becoming a YOTT Connector member for only $25/month, OR if funds are tight and you’re super keen to see it, send me a DM and I’ll see what I can do 😉
From my collaborators:
The first of my 2026 collabs is now available!
The wonderful Hollie Swanton has generously provided a sneak peek of her new resource, the “Map your Matrescence Mini Workbook.” In this free video, Hollie walks us through some key parts of the workbook, while at the same time providing an introduction to the OT role in matrescence, which is the physical, social and psychological transition of becoming a mother.
If this is an area of OT practice you’d like to learn more about, there are links to find out more about how Hollie can help.
There is a lot of content available in the Learning Library. This month we’re shining the spotlight on my top 5 “Ask me anything” webinar recordings, and in all of them I’m joined by a special guest. These are all available on-demand, completely free!
Functional Capacity Assessments: This is an oldie but a goodie! Joined by special guest Hanna Corfield to help out with the paeds questions, we run through some of the most commonly asked questions about NDIS FCAs.
Becoming a sole trader: Setting up your own business is trickier than you think! In this session OT, business owner and supervisor Bek Chatellier helps answers your questions about setting up and sustaining a sole trader business.
NDIS, Advocacy and ART tips: We all hope to never go there, but the need to attend the ART (Administrative Review Tribunal) is something more OTs are facing. In this session NDIS advocate and Lawyer Niti Prakash shares some tips that may help.
Pressure care mattresses: Prescribing a pressure care mattress that works effectively and that the client likes can be a tricky game of compromise. In this session OT educator from Unicare Health, Ilissa Liew helps me answer your questions.
Collaborative approaches to AAC as an OT: While AAC is primarily within the scope of speech pathologists, it is often prescribed in conjunction with OTs. To find out what our role is and where you can learn more about this niche area of practice, watch this session starring special guests Kelvin Kong and Jess Dickson from Superyou Tech.
If you'd like to connect with any of these special guests, you can find them all on LinkedIn!
All you need to do is fill in the EOI and tell me about your resource, and I’ll send you the T&Cs. The key point is you need to have a resource (video, webinar, download) that you would be happy for people to freely access via the Library, and in return you’ll get your own little marketing landing page and a plug in my socials and newsletters (including this one!).
Do it today! All you need to do is add your name and email address via this link, then check your inbox or junk mail for the login details. If you’ve got an extra couple of minutes, you can even setup the free mobile app straight away.
I’m doing this because there are so many great OTs and other health professional out there with fantastic resources and education services, and the OT and allied health world just don’t know they exist. Spend less time searching for answers and reinventing the wheel, and more time working with your clients!
