New additions

From me you can access an Infographic – Social Media Strategy

Are you an allied health professional who creates social media content? Sometimes the motivation is there, but you lack a sustainable action plan. This infographic outlines the steps to build a big-picture strategy that actually works. (Bonus: If you'd like more help with your content creation or using LinkedIn effectively, email me at yourottutor@outlook.com to find out about my one-on-one sessions or register your interest for a new beginner's course starting soon!)

From my collaborators you can access a Video – Website Strategy with Claire Anderson

Is your website working or in need of an overhaul? This session explores the strategy behind an effective OT practice website. You'll be introduced to a three-part framework (Clarity, Credibility, and Conversion) and how each element supports anxious or overwhelmed clients. Claire also covers key AHPRA advertising guidelines, practical tips on contact form design, and visitor behaviour insights. You'll finish with five reflection questions to honestly assess your own website. Find out more about Claire’s services here: https://andecreation.com

Focus topic: Governance Kickstarters

There is a lot of content available in the Learning Library, and this month we’re shining the spotlight on resources that will inspire you to ensure your governance related resources are up-to-date. Covering home visits, CPD and QI, here’s some examples of what you can find for free in the Learning Library:

  • External CPD request template: Do you need to justify the value of attending external professional development, either to your employer or to yourself? This template will help you gather the details to prove it's worth the investment.

  • Home visit risk considerations (PDF): A handy checklist of essential considerations to review to ensure safety and preparedness of both yourself and your client before conducting home visits.

  • Risk management process for safety in the community (PDF): A guide to systematically managing risks when working with clients when out in the community.

  • 'When someone makes a complaint' (Video): Learn what to do in the moment when a complaint is made, and what you can do when you have time to breathe, seek other opinions, and plan your response.

  • AHPRA CPD requirements (PDF): A clear summary to ensure you're meeting your ongoing registration and professional development reporting obligations, not just collecting certificates.

  • Quality improvement planning guide (PDF): A practical resource to help you plan, implement, and evaluate quality improvements in your practice.

Would you like to add your own resource to the Library one day?

All you need to do is fill in the EOI and tell me about your resource, and I’ll send you the T&Cs. The key point is you need to have a resource (video, webinar, download) that you would be happy for people to freely access via the Library, and in return you’ll get your own little marketing landing page and a plug in my socials and newsletters (including this one!).

Super keen but haven’t signed up to the Learning Library yet?

Do it today! All you need to do is add your name and email address via this link, then check your inbox or junk mail for the login details. If you’ve got an extra couple of minutes, you can even setup the free mobile app straight away.
